I bought a North Face rain jacket many years ago and used it for backpacking, hiking, and whenever else I needed to stay dry. After a recent trip to the Dolly Sods Wilderness I noticed a pile of flakes at the bottom of the jacket between the shell and the mesh liner.
I turned to the Googles in search of a DIY fix. Sprays. Washes. Mesh removal. None of them seemed like a good solution. Then I found The North Face warranty page and it’s limited warranty/lifetime guarantee policy which states:
If your product fails due to a manufacturing defect we will repair it without charge, or replace it, at our discretion.
Before getting my hopes up I contacted TNF via chat and was told to submit the Warranty Return Form and send the jacket in to TNF Warranty division. So I did. Four weeks later I received notification that a new Resolve 2 jacket was en route.
I gotta say, I’m thoroughly impressed with The North Face warranty. The company kept their word and I’m now rain proof once again.
